Welcome to the web site of the Springfield Township Republican Party

The Springfield Republican Party and our elected officials work hard to help make Springfield a great place to live and call home.  For over thirty years, the Springfield Republican Party candidates, regardless of whether Republicans or Democrats have been in power in Harrisburg or Washington D.C., have held all the local offices here in Springfield.  As a result, the local Republican leadership at the Township and County level is, along with many other civic and religious organizations, largely responsible for what Springfield is today.

  • Springfield is beautiful.  We have twenty-three parks featuring facilities for picnics, sports, and playground equipment for children.  We also have our very own Township pool, golf course, and country club.
  • Our town is safe. The Springfield Police Department consists of approximately thirty-five full time sworn Officers. We have our own hospital, volunteer Fire Company, and volunteer Ambulance Corps.
  • Springfield is a great place for families.  Our library offers a wide variety of activities for the entire family.  The Youth Club and the Athletic Association are extremely well run and offer a wide variety of sports for our children.
  • Our public services are excellent. Our trash is collected, unlike many neighboring towns, twice a week, and recycling containers are provided free of charge.  Our streets are always paved.  Street lights are always working.
  • Our homes retain and increase in value. Because of the beauty of Springfield, our first-rate school district, and exceptional municipal services, our homes remain a great investment.

We believe these factors demonstrate that the Springfield GOP has done a good job. The Springfield Republican Party has consistently supported local candidates who have a history of involvement in our community -- individuals who want to make a difference and serve their neighbors.

Our Commissioners - including Gina Sage (2nd Ward) andPaul Wechsler (4th Ward) -- have recently led the battle against placing unwanted billboards along Baltimore Pike in Springfield, a proposal that would endanger the public health, safety, and welfare of Springfield residents in direct violation of our township zoning code.

We welcome interested individuals who want to become more involved in local politics and our community to attend monthly meetings of the Springfield Republican Party. Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the months of January, February, March, April, September, October, and November at 7:00 p.m. at the Springfield Township Building.
